Filipinos will enjoy not only Patti Austin’s music when she visits the country for a concert later this year, they will also have a chance to show off the best of the Philippines to Patti through pictures!
We are pleased to announce the launch of #ShowPatti Beautiful Philippines photo contest on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram today. The winning photo submission will receive a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 smartphone.
“If someone asked me what I enjoy about coming to the Philippines, I’d say it is because the people are loving and the scenery is beautiful. It’s always fun to visit and perform there,” Patti exclaimed. “And now, I would like to see why you think it’s more fun in the Philippines through your photos.”
Patti is scheduled to hold concert performances in the Philippines later this year.

The photo contest is open to Filipino citizens 13 years old and above, currently residing in the Philippines, and who have a Facebook, Twitter or Instagram account that they can use to post their entries.
Details
The photo must be original, not published before nor entered into any other competition. In order to stick with the theme, the photo must capture a place or a local scene that highlights why the photographer thinks the Philippines is so fun and beautiful. The scene can be a tourist destination, a historical site, a popular landmark or simply a breathtaking view of your city. If there are recognizable faces in the photo, the photographer must have the appropriate model release.
How to participate
The photo submission needs to have a brief description of the subject, the camera and lens used, and must bear the hashtag #ShowPatti to be recognized for the contest. More details on the official rules.
Photo Submission & Voting Period
The contest runs from July 3 to August 31, 2013. The winner will be announced online on September 2, 2013. The winning prize is a brand new Samsung Galaxy Note 2.
Select photos from the contest may also be included in an upcoming travel book, which will feature the places Patti has visited around the globe.
